Alex regularly acts in high-stakes and contentious matters, including commercial fraud and conspiracy claims, breaches of fiduciary duty, investment management disputes, insolvency proceedings, and employment disputes. He has also been involved in criminal defence matters and contested deputyship applications under the Mental Capacity Act. His experience spans proceedings before all levels of Court.
Professional experience
Before joining the firm, Alex practised dispute resolution at a leading Singapore law firm and served as in-house legal counsel at a government statutory board, advising on regulatory, governance, and legislative matters including the development of Singapore’s electric vehicle charging framework.
Prior to law, Alex spent five years as a Senior Police Officer with the Singapore Police Force. This rare background gives him a keen appreciation of investigations, evidence, and enforcement strategy, an advantage he brings to every dispute.
Education
Alex graduated from Singapore Management University with a Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude, and was awarded the J.D. Term Award as one of the top students in his cohort. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
